New in Calxa this week is the addition of Dynamic Column Reporting. At last, this new way of building your templates will add more flexibility to your reporting options. It is the start of an ongoing project. We are adding the option to choose any number of columns to our multi-column reports. First up this week are the P&L with Projected Total reports with more to come over the next weeks.
New in Calxa Next Week: Dynamic Columns
Reports like the P&L with Projected Total, P&L Comparison, Cashflow Forecast, have long had preset report templates. They have variations with options for 12 months, 24 month, 4 quarters, 5 years, 10 years and more. Ultimately, with the dynamic configuration, you can specify how many columns you want to show. Whether that’s 3, 7 or 123, the choice is yours.
The pre-existing templates will continue to be available for some time.
We will progressively add this option to all the multi-period reports. First up this week are the:
- P&L with Projected Total
- And the P&L with Projected Total vs Budget.
After that, there will be the P&L Comparison report and we will add more every week or 2 until they are all done.
Aged Receivables and Payables
Over time, we are doing a slow rollout of the Aged Receivables and Payables reports as we are doing additional testing as we go. We’re not 100% confident that our internal testing data covers absolutely every scenario. We know it covers all the ones we have thought of. However, each accounting system we work with has different ways to handle transactions. This is particularly true, when it comes to pre-payments, part-payments, credit notes, refunds and all the other nuances of invoicing.
When this feature is turned on, you will be able to run an Aged Receivables or Aged Payables report for one organisation or a whole group. Of course, there will be summary and detail reports as well as charts showing a breakdown pictorially.
If you are an MYOB AccountRight or a Xero user, and want to be an early adopter, send us a message through the in-app chat and we will turn this on for your workspace.
To see the recent changes, look out for our change logs with all the details. As always, you are most welcome to reach out any time you need a hand or simply book a session with our team. There’s lots more we’re working on and coming up as new in Calxa over the next few months.
